Colin Doyle was the only player with first team experience to play in last night's reserve game.
An extremely young Blues reserve side suffered a heavy defeat to their Reading counterparts for the second time this season at Aldershot's Recreation Ground last night.

Terry Westley named a very inexperienced line-up with Colin Doyle the only senior player on show.

Otherwise it was a team made up of recruits from the club's Academy, including schoolboys Dan Preston and Jordon Mutch.

The game saw recent signing Semih Aydilek, a striker picked up from German side Eintracht Frankfurt, make his debut as the lone striker.

Captain Asa Hall had fired Blues in front midway through the first half when he cleverly chipped the keeper following a defensive mix-up.

But within two minutes the home side were level through Gylfi Sigurdsson and Hal Robson-Kanu put the hosts in front before the break.

And further second half strikes from Aaron Brown, James Henry and Simon Cox completed a comprehensive win for the Royals, who had knocked six past Blues without reply on the season's opening day.

Blues: Doyle, Wilson, Timmins, Joyce, Preston, Hall, Howland, Mutch (Moses-Garvey 57), Milojevic (Sheldon 57), Burge, Aydilek (Lea 85).
