Birmingham City Academy held a successful recruitment drive for young players over the half term holiday.

Local teams in the Under 7 and Under 9 age groups located within one hour's travelling distance of Birmingham attended Wast Hills where they took part in a series of 7-a-side games.

"We were very successful in picking up new players from the Under 7's age bracket and are very excited about the possible development of these players in years to come," said the Academy's Mark Fogarty.

"I would like to thank all managers and my own staff who took part in what was an excellent PR exercise as well as a great recruitment tool for the club."
