Defender Stuart Parnaby joined Blues from Middlesbrough in the summer of 2007 on a Bosman free transfer.
He signed a three-year-deal, with a one year option.
During his time at the Riverside, Parnaby made a total of 126 appearances for the Premiership outfit.
But his chances were limited last season because of the form of Jonathan Woodgate in the centre of defence and he made just ten starts.
Although he is predominantly a centre half, he can also play at right back or in midfield.
The Durham-born player is a product of Boro's Academy and a former England under 21 international.
