Marcus Bent joined Blues from Charlton Athletic in July 2008 for a fee in excess of £1m.
The London-born player has played for a host of clubs since graduating through the ranks at Brentford as a teenager.
He spent much of the 2007/08 season on loan at Wigan Athletic and during his time at the JJB Bent made 31 appearances for the Latics and scored a total of seven goals.
His previous clubs include amongst others, Everton, Ipswich, Blackburn Rovers and Sheffield United.
